I have never been much into magazines geared toward home decorating - I often found them limiting in scope and practicality (there are only so many ways to fold a napkin!). TOH not only gives you decorating ideas, but takes it to the next level; you're not just prettying up your environment, but revitalizing space. The examples are great, their how-to instructions are detailed and easy to follow and other suggestions for improvements/upgrades/solutions are excellent. I now need to review my older issues so that I can find plans for a built in bookshelf just to hold them all!    Permalink

This Old House Ain't So Old No More, 3/25/2006 11:46:58 PM
What a valuable resource. This Old House made my old house look brand new. My wife was nagging me to fix the kitchen but we were on a tight budget so hiring professionals would cost a fortune. I decided to browse over This Old House in our library and found a gold mine of information. It gave me renovation tips, ideas about installing tile flooring, materials I would need, and I got to exchange ideas with the online community on kitchen renovations. So glad I decided to do it all myself - with the help of This Old House of course!    Permalink
