You know when you hit your 30s, you take personal finance more seriously. I know that I can't spend my money the way I used to especially now that my girlfriend and I are planning to raise a family. My dad warned me about saving for a rainy day; he bought me a subscription to Consumer Reports Money Advisor, and boy, did I learn a ton. With this magazine, I can hold off on hiring a financial planner who will probably charge me an arm and a leg. It is packed with ideas that will help me plan better.
