I have subscribed to Pack-O-Fun since I was a child and am now a senior. The crafts were more complicated in the earlier magazines, but the plays with props were fun to do. The pen pal club and the questions about crafting gave special ideas. This magazine was fun to craft from as an only child; it helped me during 5 years as a Cub Scout Den Mother and 15 years as a 4H craft leader, sometimes putting over 200 projects PLUS our family projects in the fairs. I presented some of the plays when I taught for 40 years. They were a big hit!! Pack-O-Fun has been a lifetime friend with all the ideas in arts, crafts, drama, and just good ideas. I hope I can always get this magazine!!!

What I love about Cook's Illustrated is the confidence it inspires in the aspiring gourmet chef who still has a long way to go (namely me). The magazine is named after the beautiful black and white illustrations that accompany articles and actual photographs. The magazine provides not only recipes, but tips, cooking equipment reviews, and the lore behind the food.
