What I love about Cook's Illustrated is the confidence it inspires in the aspiring gourmet chef who still has a long way to go (namely me). The magazine is named after the beautiful black and white illustrations that accompany articles and actual photographs. The magazine provides not only recipes, but tips, cooking equipment reviews, and the lore behind the food.    Permalink
