| I actually perused this magazine while in a beauty shop in Junction City, Kansas, having my hair done by a Vietnamese hairdresser. I was so impressed and felt so in touch with my own (African American) culture. I get so tired of magazines that only portray only the upper crust or middle class people of our culture. I want to know what are we ''really doing''. I enjoyed the diversified subjects - all in one magazine - I could not decide which article I wanted to read first. Religion, fashion, child rearing, family matters, new businesses, financials, recipes - good reading... I was determined that when I returned to Houston, Texas, I would subscribe to this magazine. Most interesting magazine I have read in a long time. Keep up the good work and great writing!! Permalink |
